SAM HART
I love comic books. With more than 30 years experience drawing comic books, fanzines and stories with characters such as Judge Dredd, Power Rangers, VR Troopers and Starship Troopers, the narrative possibilities never cease to amaze me. I have drawn graphic novels with Robin Hood, King Arthur, Joan of Arc, the 16th century pirate Grace O’Malley and also The Coldest City, written by Antony Johnston, that was adapted to film in 2017 as Atomic Blonde, with oscar-winning Charlize Theron.
For over 5 years I also worked with magazine infographics and illustration for titles such as Superinteressante and Mundo Estranho. For another 4 years I was an in-house illustrator/storyboarder at Africa, one of the largest advertising agencies in Brazil. And since 2004 I have been regulary teaching drawing and comic book art, first for public libraries, then at Quanta Academia de Artes and since 2012 at Axis School of Visual Effects, with occassional workshops at Gibiteca Henfil, St. Paul's School and Avenues School.
I've written and published numerous comic book short stories and creator-owned projects, both in the UK and Brazil, such as Project Mega-Ultra, An Eternity of WAR and 10 Lost Days, and I also work with book illustration and freelance storyboards for TV and music videos. I was born in England and now live in sunny São Paulo, with my wife and two daughters.
